Arrests after drugs raid at Nottingham city property

Two men were arrested after officers found drugs at an address in Nottingham.

A warrant was executed in Booth Close, in the city centre, on Wednesday morning (20 August) following intelligence that drugs were being dealt from the address.

Officers discovered quantities of suspected Class A and B drugs (pictured below), as well as a BB gun.

Two men aged 37 and 40 were arrested at the address on suspicion of on suspicion of possession of class A and B drugs with intent to supply and possession of an imitation firearm.

They were questioned and bailed with conditions while inquiries continue.

PC Ben King, of the City Centre neighbourhood policing team, who coordinated the operation, said:

“This warrant serves as a timely reminder that we will not tolerate drug crime in Nottingham.

“Drugs destroy lives and spread misery among the most vulnerable people in our communities, so our proactive police work to disrupt this illegal trade will continue.”
