Two men have been arrested following street disturbances which police believe are linked.
Officers were called to Bramcote College, in Moor Lane, Bramcote, at 3.05pm on Thursday (29 January) following reports of an altercation between two groups.
Officers spoke to a number of people at the scene. There were no reports of any injuries, no weapons were involved and those present quickly dispersed.
Officers were later called to Park Avenue, Radford, at 8pm following reports two people had been assaulted by men carrying bats. No one was seriously injured.
Two men, aged 41 and 44, have been arrested on suspicion of affray.
Superintendent James Woolley, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“We are aware of a number of online rumours about weapons being involved in the incident at the college but we do not believe that was the case.
“Neighbourhood teams will be in the area over the coming days and anyone with concerns should approach an officer.
“Police teams are continuing to investigate both incidents and any witnesses, or those with information or relevant footage, should get in touch without delay.”
Anyone who can assist should call police on 101, quoting incident 383 of 29 January 2026, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
