Beeston: Police release image after homeowner heard burglar in his property

Police investigating a burglary in Beeston have issued CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

It was reported the victim was woken after hearing a noise in the living room of his home in Beeston.

However, he believed it was a family member and went back to sleep.

He later found his wallet, which contained cash and a bank card, had been taken along with two packets of cigarettes.

His stolen bank card was subsequently used in a shop.

Police carried out extensive inquiries into the burglary, which is believed to have happened between 12.30 pm and 1.30 pm on 27 August 2023, and have now released images of man they believe may have information that could assist them with their investigation.

PC Jordan Anderson, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“This was a frightening ordeal for the victim who was left understandably shaken. 

“To aid us with our inquiries, we are urging anyone who recognises the man pictured to please call us as soon as possible as we believe he may have information that could be key to our investigation. 

“If you know who he is or are the man in the picture, we would ask you to get in touch as soon as possible.” 

Anyone with information should call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 430 of 27 August 2023, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
