Newark police officers helped reunite a family with their beloved pet dog.
Rosa’s owners spent nearly a week looking for her before she was found in the Flintham area.
The community banded together to find the English Setter after she went missing earlier this month.
Among the search party was Sergeant Kate Taylor, who heard about what happened and decided to help.
Despite not knowing the gun dog’s owners, the Newark sergeant offered her assistance during her rest days.

Joined by several other community members, Sgt Taylor looked for Rosa, both on foot and in her car, while off duty.
She then made the rest of the neighbourhood policing team aware when she went back on shift – including PCSO Mike Munro.
The officer then took it upon himself to patrol near the RAF base in Syerston, where Rosa had disappeared days earlier.
When she then showed up near the airfield during his 10 February patrol, the PCSO joined the group in rounding her up.
Having been lost for six days, Rosa was returned to her loving family, with owner Kim Wakefield thanking police for their help.
She said:
“Losing her was an absolute nightmare but thanks to a major joint effort from the whole community, we’ve been able to bring Rosa home.
“I really appreciate everyone’s help, including the police, who were so reassuring and positive throughout all of this.
“They’re really busy people and have lots of important things to deal with, so I’m so grateful to Kate and Mike, who couldn’t have been more helpful.”
Sgt Taylor said:
“It was really great to see the community spirit on show, with so many people getting involved in the searches to try and find Rosa.
“I live locally so, after hearing about what had happened on social media, I thought I’d lend a hand while I was off duty.
“When I then mentioned it to the rest of the team, Mike took it upon himself to patrol the area and did a great job in helping round the dog up.
“My understanding is Rosa narrowly missed being struck by cars on a couple of occasions while she was missing, so we were delighted to see her turn up okay.
“At the end of the day, we’re a neighbourhood policing team that cares about the community we serve, so it was a really nice thing to be part of.”
