Birds Bakery announces Sunday opening for West Bridgford stores

Birds Bakery has announced that from Sunday 15 September, 41 of its bakery locations will be opening on Sundays.

This change is part of Birds’ ongoing commitment to providing greater convenience for customers. Recognising the importance of weekends for family time and indulgence, the bakery has extended its opening hours to include Sunday, allowing customers even more opportunities to enjoy their favourite Birds treats.

The stores on Melton Road and Central Avenue in West Bridgford will both open on Sundays.

This exciting development has also led to the creation of over 70 additional jobs across the stores, bakery, and dispatch operations.

“We’re thrilled to be opening our bakery doors on Sundays to provide our customers with even more opportunities to enjoy our products. With more shops extending their trading hours to include Sundays, we wanted to ensure our customers can shop with us if they are out and about. Our hope is that by being open every day of the week, we can contribute to making the high street a vibrant and bustling place once again.”

Birds Bakery has been a staple in the community for years, known for its quality products and friendly service. With the new extended schedule, freshly baked bread, pastries, and treats are now available every day of the week, making it easier for everyone to enjoy their favourites whenever they choose.

In addition to the new schedule, Birds is excited to introduce a new lunch range. Among the highlights are a vegetarian lemon and herb hummus with a crunchy slaw multiseed baton, a continental-style salami and Emmental multiseed baton, a Red Leicester and caramelised onion chutney chia sandwich, and a hummus and falafel salad bowl joining the salad range.

Birds Bakery has 61 stores across the East Midlands.
