The search for a new operator to take over an apartment hotel at Bridgford Hall has already generated “significant interest”.
Rushcliffe Borough Council is looking for a new tenant to take over the lease of the apartment hotel at Bridgford Hall.
The Grade II-listed stately building dates back to 1768 and was bought by the council in 1923.
A £2.3 milllion revamp project in 2017 – led by the authority – turned the venue into an apartment hotel, opening seven apartments to allow wedding guests to stay overnight.
This guest house was then run by Birchover Residences who leased it from the council – but they have since gone into liquidation.

Now, the search for a new guest house operator goes on after the apartments were listed on Rightmove by the property advisers Christie and Co on July 24 – and the council says there has already been “significant interest”.
A Rushcliffe Borough Council spokesperson said: “Birchover Residencies recently went into administration with the aparthotel area of the building returning to us in May this year, and is being currently marketed by leisure specialists Christie and Co.
“There is no impact on the Registrars which remains open as usual.
“Significant interest is being generated, and we continue working with Christie and Co to acquire a strong tenant to operate the aparthotel going forward and will provide further updates when necessary.”
The new lease will be available at a rent of £70,000 a year.
Nottinghamshire County Council lease the ground floor of Bridgford Hall and run it as West Bridgford Registry office.
Prior to council ownership, the building was previously the home of the Musters family.
Since 1982, Nottinghamshire County Council used it as a place to register births.
