Cash recovered after high-speed police chase on A60

A large amount of cash was recovered and two men were arrested after a high-speed police chase.

Officers attempted to stop a car near Sherwood Lodge shortly before 11.10pm last night (Monday 5 October) and began a pursuit when it failed to stop.

It was then driven at high speed along the A60 towards Mansfield, allegedly passing through red lights and travelling along the wrong side of the road.

The pursuit was brought to a close a short time later when a stinger device was used to puncture the vehicle’s tyres at the junction of Nottingham Road and Baums Lane.

A large amount of cash was found in the vehicle and two men were detained.
