The NHS is reminding the public about the importance of the Covid-19 booster vaccine ahead of winter.
Boosters are being offered to over 50s, people over 16 with a health condition that puts them at high risk of getting seriously ill from Covid-19, and health and social care workers.
These groups can have their booster once six months has passed since their second dose.
Those eligible for a booster vaccination are being contacted by the NHS inviting them to book in for their jabs.
However, if a person is eligible and has not yet received an invitation, they will be able to walk into certain sites to receive their booster. These include:
- King’s Mill Hospital Vaccination Site – from 16th October onwards
- Mansfield Vaccination Centre – from 16th October onwards
- Forest Recreation Ground Vaccination Site – from 21st October onwards
