Covid: New mobile test centre opens at County Hall West Bridgford on Saturday 26 June

Following the announcement that the Regional Covid Testing Centre at County Hall closed this week, health bosses confirm a mobile facility will open this weekend.

Jonathan Gribbin, Nottinghamshire’s Director for Public Health said:

“A new mobile drive-through testing facility for symptomatic testing will be available at County Hall car park from Saturday 26 June to replace the Regional Testing Centre which is now closed.

“The mobile unit will have the capacity to carry out up to 500 tests a day.

“The main County Hall testing site was removed from the online booking system earlier this week, so people would not have been able to book to get a test at the site. The booking portal will direct people to the nearest available testing sites and details about the new facility at County Hall will be included once it becomes available.

“Remember, if you have symptoms you must self-isolate immediately and book a test  or order a test kit to be sent to your home from .  Alternatively, call 119.

“As we are making plans to re-open in line with the roadmap the County Council is preparing to return to more on-site “business- as-usual” which means that we are now putting new arrangements in place for Covid-19 testing.”

Nearby testing sites are available at the following places, but you must book before attending:

Nottingham University, Park Campus
Nottingham University, Jubilee Campus
Nottingham Trent University, Clifton Campus

Forest Park and Ride, Nottingham City
