Residents in Edwalton today took part in a training session at Edwalton Snack Bar on how to deliver CPR and use a defibrillator.
Following the installation of a defibrillator at Edwalton Post Office, Councillor Jonathan Wheeler, Postmaster Arun Parehk and local resident Naomi Walters, Fundraising Manager from the British Heart Foundation, teamed up to deliver training for local people.
Cllr Wheeler told The Wire: ‘The training was superb, and everyone I spoke to learned something new and although we hope never to have to use the training, it’s better to be prepared
‘I’d like to thank everyone who attended and Naomi for delivering the training. If anyone wants to learn how to use a defibrillator they can contact the BHF.’
