Detectives are appealing for information after a delivery driver was attacked by a group of men who threatened him with a knife.
The robbery took place in Gamble Street, Nottingham, at around 7.30 pm on Tuesday (24 January 2023).
A group of four men approached the driver and tried to steal his moped. The victim was punched in the head several times before one of the attackers pulled out a blade.
During the struggle, one of the men grabbed the victim’s moped and house keys.
At this point, they were interrupted by a passing car and fled from the scene in the direction of Alfreton Road on either mopeds or motorbikes.
Detective Sergeant Andy Buxton, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “The victim was left extremely shaken and confused by the incident and it must have been upsetting for him.
“We will not tolerate this sort of attack on someone working hard and earning their living in the city. We are determined to track down the offenders and return this man’s keys to him.
“This is a busy part of the city and we would like to hear from anyone with information about what happened in the moments before, during and after the incident.
“If you witnessed anything or have any dash-cam footage which could assist officers please get in touch.”
Anyone with any information should call police on 101, quoting incident 639 of 24 January 2023, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
