A section of Derby Road is expected to remain closed for some time, as police continue their enquiries into a serious collision there in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Nottinghamshire Police attended the scene of the collision, which is believed to have involved a pedestrian and a car, shortly after it happened at around 12.40am on Thursday 19 March.
Derby Road has remained closed between its junctions with Cottesmore Road and Rolleston Drive since the time of the collision, as officers begin their work to understand the circumstances surrounding the incident. A man has been arrested as part of those enquiries.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or who has any information is asked to call Nottinghamshire Police, quoting incident number 16 of 19 March.
AA Roadwatch reports:
‘Road closed due to accident investigation work on A6200 Derby Road both ways between A6130 Lenton Boulevard and A610 St Helens Street. The road has been closed following a serious accident in the early hours of this morning.’
