Drone views taken on the morning of 12 September show the destruction of the building by fire overnight on 11 September.
The fire was reported by Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service at around 10 pm on Wednesday evening 11 September.
The service reported six crews at the scene and the Aerial Ladder Platform vehicle.
Police attended and closed roads around the incident.
In an update at 7 am on Thursday 12 September the service said:
‘Update Fire crews continued to extinguish the fire until late last night. There will be an investigation starting today, which will look into the cause of the fire.
Thank you to the local community for their patience whilst we dealt with the incident.’
Plans to demolish The Bakersfield Public House on Oakdale Road are scheduled to come before the Nottingham City Council planning committee on 18 September 2024.
The plans are recommended for approval, but may still be refused when voted on at a planning committee meeting if they go ahead.
Plans submitted by Hockley Developments, include the construction of 13 houses and eight supported living apartments following the demolition of the long-standing but now vacant pub.
An investigation into the incident will take place today and police remain at the scene.
