Drone views show flooding around Barton in Fabis and the A453 area

Alongside the A453 from Nottingham westbound there is water as far as the eye can see.

Field after field is completely flooded in the Ratcliffe, Thrumpton, Barton and A453 area.

A flood warning remains in place for Thrumpton and Barton Ferry

‘River levels remain high but are beginning to fall at the Colwick Gauge as a result of Storm Henk. Consequently, flooding is expected to continue. Areas most at risk are Thrumpton and Barton Ferry.

‘Further light rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. We expect river levels to remain high until Saturday, 06/01/2024.
