Arrests were made on Monday 24 April by officers from the Safer Neighbourhood Team.
A 50-year-old man was heard begging on Exchange Walk and was found to be wanted by North Yorkshire Police for failing to appear in court.
A 34-year-old man was arrested on Old Market Square for failing to appear in court.
Whilst the thirty-four-year-old man was being arrested a fourteen-year-old boy and a seventeen-year-old boy were stopped and searched on Old Market Square.
They were found to be in possession of stolen bottles of alcoholic drinks and a magnetic de-tagger. They were arrested on suspicion of theft from a shop and going equipped.
A 41-year-old woman was arrested on Long Row for breaching a court order.
A 33-year-old man was arrested on King Street on suspicion of harassment.
A 17-year-old boy was arrested for a serious public order offence.
A twenty-eight-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drug driving on Castle Marina Road. He refused to provide a sample of blood in custody and was charged with a related offence.
A 33-year-old man was arrested for a recall to prison on Lincoln Street.
A 36-year-old man was arrested on Upper Parliament Street on suspicion of indecent exposure.
A 20-year-old man was arrested on Radford Road following a 999 call from a member of the public.
Two other individuals had positive action taken against them for begging in a public place and another man was reported to court having been found in possession of class B drugs.
The majority of these arrests were through efficient proactive policing where officers have acted on instinct or seen persons in the city whom they knew to be wanted.
