Police were called to a report of a serious flat fire in Clifton.
Officers remained at the scene with colleagues from Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service following the report of the blaze in the top floor of the flats in Angell Green at around 8.05pm today (Monday 5 October).
The circumstances of the fire are not yet known and will be investigated.
Inspector Amy Styles-Jones, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We are working with our fire service colleagues to ensure the safety of the people in the flats and will then try to establish how the fire started.”

Update: Crews from West Bridgford and London Road remain at the scene.
The fire is out but we remain at this serious incident alongside our Police colleagues.
A joint fire and police investigation will be carried out.
