A suspect has been arrested after multiple police vehicles were damaged in Nottingham city centre.
The five vehicles sustained damage to their windscreens, windows, wing mirrors and wipers outside Central Police Station shortly after 1am today (Thursday).
A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage.
Inspector Paul Gummer, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“This was a mindless act of vandalism that has temporarily put valuable public assets out of use.
“These vehicles will of course be repaired very quickly, but for the time being at least they cannot be used to respond to emergencies and to deal with those most in need.
“A suspect was arrested shortly afterwards, and our investigation is ongoing.”
Any additional witnesses to this incident are asked to call 101 quoting incident 28 of 17 July 2025.
