Four boys and a man were arrested in connection with a report of robbery in Basford yesterday.
Nottinghamshire Police was called at around 7 pm on Monday 16 March after a boy was assaulted by a group of people in Nuthall Road near Christ Church.
Officers attended the scene and conducted searches in the area, culminating in the arrest of an 18-year-old man, a 13-year-old boy, a 13-year-old boy, a 14-year-old boy and a 14-year-old boy.
Detective Sergeant Rachael North, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Violent crime has no place in our city and we will endeavour to take appropriate action against those who threaten the community’s safety.
“We were quick to make arrests but we would still like anyone with any information to contact us as soon as possible.”
