Updates: Flood warning still in place for Rushcliffe village

Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding today at Zouch.

The Environment Agency said:

‘Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding today.

‘Flooding is expected on 08 February 2026 .

‘Properties are now at risk of flooding. Areas most at risk are Main Street, Upper Holme and Lower Holme on Zouch Island. Access is likely to be lost to properties on Zouch Island due to high water. Light rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. River levels at Kegworth Gauge are forecast to peak at approximately 09:00AM.

‘We are closely monitoring the situation .

‘Start acting on your flood plan if you have one & move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety.

‘This message will be updated by 12:30PM on 08 February 2026 or as the situation changes.’
