Floods: Holme Pierrepont regatta lake overflows and remains closed along with country park

Floods are affecting areas of Rushcliffe and Nottinghamshire this week.

A spokesperson for the National Watersports Centre at Holme Pierrepont said Friday 13 February:

‘Continuing bad weather, combined with already high water levels, has caused Regatta Lake to overflow its banks. As a result, the Country Park is closed until further notice

‘The path around Regatta Lake is also closed. However, our gym remains open as normal and all scheduled workout classes will go ahead as advertised 💪
For your safety, please follow all on-site signage across the site and keep well away from any floodwater.

‘We’re sorry to share this disappointing news and appreciate your understanding. We’ll keep you updated and let you know as soon as we’re able to reopen!’
