Free adult guided cycling sessions in Cotgrave, Keyworth and Bingham

There’s a series of free guided cycle rides at locations across Rushcliffe this summer to make residents fall in love with their two wheels again and give them confidence to get back pedalling!

Rushcliffe Borough Council in partnership with RideWise, are hosting eight free guided cycle rides in Cotgrave, Keyworth and Bingham in the coming weeks to give bicycle owners the chance to gain more confidence with likeminded people.

A qualified cycling instructor will take the group on a guided route that will include local café stops and viewpoints.

People must be aged 18 and over and will need to bring their own helmet and bicycle.

Further information and details on how to book are available using the links below:

The Council’s Cabinet Portfolio Holder for Communities and Climate Change Cllr Abby Brennan said: “We want to improve the health and wellbeing of residents in Rushcliffe and our upcoming cycling sessions are a great way to get active and meet likeminded people who enjoy cycling and trying new group activities.

“Cycling not only improves physical health but also reduces your carbon footprint if you cycle instead of using a petrol or diesel vehicle and it’s key we encourage residents to cycle wherever possible in line with our Carbon Clever priorities.

“I encourage everyone to get involved and sign up to our free sessions across the Borough.

“Don’t forget to log your cycling activity on your Green Rewards account too and earn rewards for travelling more sustainably. Find out more at www.rushcliffe.gov.uk/greenrewards
