Detectives have made further arrests as investigations into two stabbing incidents in Bestwood continue.
The incidents are not linked but took place on the same evening, with one taking place inside an address in Eardley Road and the second happening on nearby Chippenham Road.
Inquiries remain ongoing, but detectives are satisfied that both incidents – which took place on Sunday (15 February) – involved people known to each other and that there is no wider risk to the public.
One of the incidents took place shortly after 10.30pm, with police called to reports of three men fighting with weapons in Chippenham Road.
A man was found with stab wounds and taken to Queen’s Medical Centre. His injuries were not life-altering or life-threatening, and he remains in a stable condition in hospital.
The investigation remains ongoing, and officers made three further arrests yesterday (Wednesday 18 February).
They include:
A 35-year-old man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, possession of a knife blade in a public place, and possession with intent to supply Class A and B drugs;
A 42-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of conspiring to cause grievous bodily harm with intent and possession with intent to supply Class A and B drugs;
A 31-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and possession with intent to supply Class A and B drugs.
A 28-year-old man previously arrested on suspicion of affray has been bailed with conditions.
In the other incident, officers were called to Eardley Road shortly before 9pm following a report of a fight involving a group of youths inside an address.
Two boys, aged 16, were found with minor injuries. One had a low-level stab wound to the leg and the other a low-level wound to the arm. They were taken to Queen’s Medical Centre for treatment and then discharged.
Detectives have since made a fourth arrest in connection with this incident, with a 16-year-old arrested on suspicion of affray. He was questioned and bailed with conditions pending further investigation work. A 16-year-old boy and two girls, aged 14 and 15, who were arrested shortly after the incident, have been released without charge.
Anyone with information about either incident who is yet to speak to officers is urged to come forward.
Detective Inspector Lisa Jones, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
