General Election 2024: Lynn Irving, Independent candidate for Rushcliffe sets out her vision

Lynn Irving is standing as an Independent candidate in the General Election in Rushcliffe.

Lynn sets out her views below:

‘Lynn Irving, an independent candidate for the upcoming parliamentary elections, is proud to introduce her campaign focused on community well-being, transparency, and direct democracy. Lynn Irving is determined to shape a future where the government truly serves its people, ensuring everyone’s right to thrive.

Lynn, a local resident and mother, is committed to bringing genuine change and ensuring
that government serves the people, not career politicians. Born and bed and living in
Rushcliffe Notts, Lynne is the daughter of a village shopkeeper and farmer. She is a former
teacher, research postgraduate and started working as a barmaid and paper girl. She is a
choir leader, ringing master and fellow organiser of the popular scarecrow festival. All
activities that put her at the heart of her local community.

She is the co-founder of the LOVE movement (Liberation, Opportunity, Vitality, Empowerment) and a member of Direct Democracy, groups that support independent candidates and grassroots solutions.

Lynn said: “I never thought I’d stand for parliament but no longer can I do nothing. I’m not
a politician and would consider it an insult to be classed as one. Anyone who has some kind of ‘standing’ at stake is corruptible as we have seen all too clearly over the last few years. I’m not interested in a career and am resourceful enough not to need to put my nose in the trough. Or to literally say anything to win and secure a cushy job. Such politicians are not held accountable and the local population deserves more.”

Key Points of Lynn Irving’s Manifesto:
• Community-Focused Leadership: Lynn is not a politician but a public servant
dedicated to the well-being of the community.
• Direct Democracy: Advocates for referendums on legislation to ensure public
involvement in decision-making.
• Transparency and Accountability: Push for the prosecution and reclamation of
fraudulently transferred public funds.
• Sustainable Energy Solutions: Support and invest in local energy solutions,
proposing Green Hydrogen for sustainable development.
• Effective Healthcare: Promote a healthcare system independent of pharmaceutical
influences, focusing on what truly works.
• Educational Reform: Support small-scale, tailored educational models that foster
critical thinking and individual growth rather than one-size-fits-nobody dogma
acceptance.

• Improved Infrastructure: Invest in practical road surfaces and reliable public transport
instead of surveillance systems.
• Support for Farmers: Advocate for farmers’ freedom to produce food locally, ensuring
fresh, affordable produce for all.
• Independent Media: Fight to ensure free and honest reporting.
• Local Administration: Promote small, local governance that serves the people rather
than corporate or supranational interests.

In her leaflet, Lynn envisages an ‘Independents Day 2028’ when the unnecessary and
harmful legislation that is not helping people live better lives today has been abolished.

She envisions a future where every new piece of legislation faces a public referendum,
ensuring that decisions reflect the will of the people, making Britons the final arbiters of new laws and steps have been taken to:

• Reclaim water and energy supplies
• Ban animal transportation and harmful pesticides
• Make trial by jury the norm and eliminating automatic fines
• Remove restrictions on small businesses and undoing the handover of personal and
medical files to profit-making corporations
• Ban several pharmaceutical companies from operating in the UK
• Defend against weather manipulation, eliminate ULEZ and LEZ zones
• Limit the power and size of banks
• Ban WEF affiliates from public service and funding the return of those brought to our
shores by assisted illegal immigration
• Abolish NICE and conduct independent studies on electromagnetic frequencies
• Allow patient-doctor choice in healthcare
• Impose prison sentences for petnapping and animal cruelty
• Use redundant buildings for housing the homeless
This future vision sees June 2028 headlines that include:
Hospital Admissions: Record low hospital admissions, and possibility of no waiting lists by
July.

Railway Reopenings: Disused railways in Derbyshire are being reopened through
community collaboration, with Nottinghamshire following suit.

Farming Industry: The farming industry has become the country’s third-largest employer,
with record productivity and domestic market share. New farms have flourished, following
the phased abolition of factory farming and imports.

Quotes Lynn lives by:
“Control your government, or your government will control you.” – Ronald Reagan
“Never think that a small group of committed people can’t change the world. In fact, it is the only thing that ever has.” – Margaret Mead
