Sunday 28 June will start mild and rather cloudy in places, with temperatures already around 19C to 20C in the early hours. There is a small chance of rain during the early morning, but any showers look limited and most areas should stay dry.

By late morning and into the afternoon, sunny intervals are expected to develop, with temperatures rising steadily to around 23C or 24C. Winds will come from the south-west or west-south-west, becoming a little fresher through the day, helping to take the edge off the recent heat.

UV levels will remain high, while pollen levels are also expected to be high. Pollution levels are forecast to stay low.

Sunday evening should stay dry and warm, with temperatures only slowly easing after sunset. Conditions will feel more comfortable than during the peak of the heatwave, but it will remain a warm summer evening.

Monday 29 June is expected to bring another settled day, with long bright or sunny spells during the morning and afternoon. It will feel slightly fresher than recent days, with temperatures starting at around 13C to 15C before climbing to a high of about 23C.

Rain is not expected during the day, with the chance of precipitation remaining below 5% for most hours. Cloud is likely to increase later in the day and into the night, but conditions should remain largely dry.

Winds will be light to moderate from the west or west-south-west, making Monday feel warm but less intense than the hottest days of the week.

UV levels are expected to remain high on Monday, while pollen levels are forecast to be very high. Pollution levels should remain low.

Overall, the weekend and start of the new week mark the end of the most intense heatwave conditions, with temperatures returning closer to more typical warm summer levels. It will remain settled, mostly dry and pleasant, but with fresher winds and more cloud at times.
