Housebuilder Harron Homes has started work on its latest development in Bilsthorpe, Nottinghamshire.
Bilsthorpe Chase will rejuvenate the former Noble Foods egg factory site to feature 136 homes ranging in size between two and five bedrooms.
Just nine miles from Mansfield and 16 from Nottingham, Bilsthorpe has plenty of amenities of its own including a primary school, doctors’ surgery, village hall, churches, public houses and shops.
Overlooking the scenic Nottinghamshire countryside, the developer is endeavouring to create a family-friendly neighbourhood with three open spaces, two of which containing play equipment for various ages.
Harron will be contributing over £643,000 to support bus stop provision, community facilities, primary education, library stock and outdoor sports and recreation in the area.
Nick Hague, Land Director at Harron Homes, said: “We’re very excited to be starting on this project to bring high quality new homes to the area. It’s a fantastic opportunity to create something useful to the community where before there was only a derelict factory site”.
Bilsthorpe Chase can be found at Kirklington Road, Bilsthorpe, Newark, Nottinghamshire, NG22 8TS, where a marketing suite and showhome are expected to open by summer 2022.
