Plans have been submitted for a new burger restaurant and takeaway in Nottingham.
The property, located along the A610 on Alfreton Road in Hyson Green, was previously used as office space before being put on the market.
Applicant Baleegh Khan has submitted a planning application to convert the two-storey property into a restaurant with a café and takeaway.
The restaurant will have a seating capacity of 25 diners, with a small section offering takeaway services.
The restaurant is expected to open from 12 noon to 10 pm, with takeaway services operating from 11 am to 11 pm.
Planning documents reveal the restaurant will be a ‘burger franchise’, though no name has been provided.
The applicant must now demonstrate that the development will not have an impact on the neighbouring homes.
They have been advised to install filtration systems to prevent odours, as well as soundproofing installations, to comply with acceptable noise levels for residential areas.
Documents show plans to install an extraction system on the property to ensure compliance with planning and environmental regulations.
The planning application reads: “The property will be primarily used as a seating restaurant offering a wide range of high-quality meals, with a small portion of the business dedicated to takeaway services.
“The layout will include a dining area, a well-designed seating area accommodating 25 diners at a time.
“[It will have a] professionally equipped kitchen for food preparation … a small counter for takeaway orders to minimise disruption to dine-in operations.
“The restaurant will adhere to all health and safety standards, environmental regulations, and waste management guidelines.”
The plans will be reviewed by Nottingham City Council at a later date.
