Image released after 16-year-old girl sexually assaulted in Nottingham city

Officers investigating a sexual assault have released images of a man they’d like to speak to.

A 16-year-old was walking along South Sherwood Street in Nottingham city centre when a man approached from behind and grabbed her.

He then cornered the victim into a doorway for a few moments before leaving the scene.

As part of their inquiries into the incident on 23 April, officers have been seeking to identify the man in these images and are now appealing to the public for help.

“This incident left the victim in a lot of distress and it’s vital we identify this man.

“We take all reports of sexual assaults seriously and we really want to speak to the man in the image as part of the investigation.

“Everyone should be able to feel safe when visiting Nottingham. Incidents such as these cause considerable distress and are totally unacceptable.”
