Officers investigating a reported attempted break-in want to speak to the man pictured.
Police were notified after someone reportedly tried to get inside a house in Anston Avenue, Worksop.
They failed to gain access to the property however, after reportedly trying both front and rear door handles.
Homeowners called the police following the unsuccessful attempt, which happened around 8.15am on 23 January.
Officers have been looking into the incident since then and are now appealing to the public for their help.
Detective Constable Laura Twigger, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“We’d ask that anyone who recognises the man in this picture gets in touch with us as soon as possible.
“Our belief is this individual has information that could assist our inquiries, so we’d also advise them to make themselves known to us.”
