Police have released images of a man they want to speak to after a pensioner’s purse was stolen from a post office in Wollaton.
The woman, aged in her seventies, was visiting the post office in Middleton Boulevard when she left her belongings on the counter at around 2pm on 23 June.
She returned to collect them but discovered that her purse, containing cash and a bank card, had been taken.
Police said the bank card was then fraudulently used on four occasions before it could be blocked.
PC David Thornton, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We can now release these images of someone we’d like to talk to.
“If they see this appeal, we’d ask them to make themselves known to us so that we can potentially rule them out of our ongoing inquiries.
“We’d also ask anyone who recognises them to share this information with our officers.”
