Image released after woman sexually assaulted in Nottingham city

Police have released an image of a man we wish to trace after a woman was subjected to a sexual assault in Nottingham city centre.

The incident happened just after 9.30am on Tuesday 2 December in Pelham Street.

A man walked towards a woman, in her 20s, and placed his hand near her groin area. She managed to intervene and push his hand away.

A spokesperson said:

‘He then left the scene, and she contacted us.

‘Our officers have carried out a number of lines of inquiry to find the person responsible but so far, no arrests have been made.

‘We have now released an image of a man that could help us further our investigation and are calling on the public’s help to identify him.’

PC Temeesha Hobbs, who is investigating the incident, added: “This incident has understandably caused a great deal of distress for the victim and we are determined to catch the person responsible.

“We have released an image of a man that could help us with our investigation and calling on the public’s help to identify him.

“Do you know the man in the image? Are you the man in the image? Please get in touch with us as soon as possible.”
