Officers have released an image of a woman they would like to trace following a ‘nasty’ attack outside a bar in the city centre.
The incident happened on Saturday 18 April at around 4 pm outside Fusion Bar in St James’s Street.
The 19-year-old female victim was punched multiple times by a woman, causing injuries to her face. The suspect then fled the scene.
Officers have carried out a number of lines of enquiry to locate the person responsible, including taking witness statements and conducting an extensive CCTV search.
So far, no arrests have been made.

They have now released an image of a woman who could help further their investigation and are calling on the public for help to identify her.
PC Aaron Harthill-Harrison, who is investigating the incident, said:
“This was a nasty assault which left the victim with facial injuries.
“It has affected the victim’s confidence in going back out into the city centre, and we are determined to catch the person responsible.
“We simply will not tolerate this type of behaviour inside or outside our city venues.
“We have released an image of a woman who could help us with our enquiries. Do you know the woman in the image? Are you the woman in the image? Please get in touch with us as soon as possible.”
