Emergency services are at the scene monitoring the situation.
Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said at 5:31 am:
‘We are currently dealing with an incident at Beeston Marina involving a damaged boat that has gone under water and is travelling downstream towards Clifton.
‘The river is fast-flowing and there is significant debris in the water.
‘We know it’s early, but if for any reason you are at the Marina in the next few hours, please do not approach the water, avoid entering the water and keep well clear of riverbanks and towpaths.
