Detectives have launched an investigation after a stabbing in Sutton-in-Ashfield.
Police were called to Outram Street shortly after 6pm yesterday (Tuesday 4 August) after a teenager was attacked inside a convenience store.
The 18-year-old was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
A cordon remains in place as evidence is gathered.
Detective Sergeant Millie Gillett, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“We are working hard to understand exactly what happened in the moments before, during and after this incident.
“To this end we want to hear from anyone who saw or heard anything which could assist our inquiries.
“People in the area will understandably be concerned, but we currently believe this to be an isolated incident with no wider risk to the public.
“That said, officers will remain in the area today to provide reassurance.”
