Two large knives were seized by police following a tip-off.
Officers were called to The Island Quarter in Nottingham after security guards noticed a reveller concealing a weapon at approximately 3pm on Sunday (21 May 2023).
Upon arrival, the suspect tried to leave the scene but he was stopped by officers and searched.
They found a large zombie knife tucked down the front of his tracksuit bottoms and a machete in a bag he was carrying.
The 16-year-old was arrested and charged with possessing bladed articles in a public place. He is due to appear at Nottingham Youth Court on 31 May 2023.

The arrest was carried out by the Nottingham City Centre neighbourhood policing team.
