Lace Market: Brawl breaks out in a Nottingham city centre bar

Three men have been arrested after a fight broke out inside a Nottingham bar.

Police attended the venue along Weekday Cross, in the Lace Market area, at around 3am today (31 January) following reports of a disturbance.

It was reported a brawl had broken out between multiple people.

Officers arrived at the scene quickly and three suspects – aged 27, 35 and 54 – were arrested on suspicion of affray and remain in police custody.

Sergeant Liam Michie, of the Response team at Central Police Station, said:

“Thanks to the quick response of officers we were able to arrest three suspects in connection with this incident.

“We will never tolerate this sort of violent disorder and I hope the speed of our response provides some reassurance about how seriously we take reports of this nature.

“Thankfully nobody was seriously injured but clearly incidents such as this have the potential to have terrible consequences.

“I would urge anyone with information about this incident to call us on 101 quoting incident 53 of 31 January 2024.”
