The project to build a new walking and cycling bridge over the Trent between Lady Bay and Trent Basin is in progress.
Transport Nottingham has announced that they will be closing the riverside path, marked in red on the map – from 5 May until spring 2026.
A spokesperson said:
‘We apologise for the inconvenience to your journey.
‘Diversion routes are shown on the map.
‘We have recently improved the blue route between the river and playparks to make it easier to use. Thanks for bearing with us.’
The footpath between the playparks off Holme Road and the river, on the south side of the river, has been upgraded as part of the bridge project.
The stone path was replaced by a 3-metre tarmac path.
