Large quantities of suspected cocaine and a cannabis grow were all discovered by police following a car stop.
Officers made the decision to stop a car in Aston Avenue, Lenton, after intelligence suggested the vehicle could be linked to criminal activity.
Individual wraps of suspected cocaine, large quantities of cash and a ‘burner’ style phone were found during a search of the inside of the vehicle.
Police then also searched a related address in the Lenton area, where large amounts of suspected Class A drugs and drug paraphernalia were found inside.
A large cannabis grow was also uncovered upstairs in the address, with officers seizing the drugs and dismantling the equipment used to facilitate the grow.
Police arrested a 27-year-old man on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, cultivation of cannabis, and driving without insurance.
Detective Inspector Jon Kerry, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Thanks to this vehicle stop, we were able to seize large quantities of suspected Class A drugs, while also dismantling a cannabis grow in the process.
“Nottinghamshire Police simply will not tolerate drug dealing or drug production on our streets and we will continue to target anyone suspected of being involved in this illicit activity.
“We have made an arrest in connection with this incident, but our inquiries are still ongoing to establish the circumstances behind this.
“If anyone has any information relating to potential drug activity within their community, it is essential that they report it to the police by calling 101, so that we can act on this intelligence.”
