A Lincolnshire MP has stood by Nigel Farage after he resigned as an MP – saying he’s ‘sick of the lies’ from the ‘establishment’.
Boston and Skegness MP Richard Tice, who is also deputy leader of Reform UK – is throwing his support behind his party leader, who resigned as an MP for Clacton today (July 7), triggering a by-election – which he said he will stand in.
Mr Farage has come under pressure following a Sunday Times report about unregistered donations of cash and support.
But Mr Farage insists he’s done nothing wrong and has vowed to fight in a by-election.
Mr Tice said: “Nigel and all of us at Reform are sick of the lies, abuse and criminality from the establishment against us.
“Nigel is rightly calling it out and asking the good folk of Clacton to reinforce their support for him.”
In recent days, the Reform leader has faced calls for an investigation into his financial affairs after revelations in the national media about payments from a long-term friend and ally George Cottrell.
