Live updates: 13 Jan – 11 am These Nottinghamshire roads still closed because of flooding

List of roads closed across Nottinghamshire because of flooding.

Accurate at  11 am 13 January – information according to Nottinghamshire County Council.

Bassetlaw Main Street, Church Laneham
Bassetlaw Station Road, Beckingham
Gedling Moor Road, Bestwood Village (At City boundary).

A significant amount of water continues to flow onto the road from adjacent fields, causing the road to continue to flood. We have attempted to pump water from the carriageway but the volume of water flowing onto the road means that it is not safe to reopen it to the public. We are investigating and continually assessing the condition of the road and will reopen it once it is safe to do so.

Newark High Street/Proctors Drive, Girton
Newark A617 at Kelham

The flood has caused substantial damage to a significant length of the footway, which has made it unsafe for pedestrians. Via is on site and working to rectify the damage. The road closure is in place to ensure the safety of road users and pedestrians. It is anticipated that the works will be completed on Monday 14 January. However, if further works are needed the road will be open in one direction (Newark to Kelham) only, until it is deemed safe to reopen completely. Via will be working round the clock and over the weekend to ensure any disruption is kept to a minimum.
