‘Update: The A46 is now OPEN in both directions between the A6097 East Bridgford and the B6166 Newark following an earlier collision.
‘There is 1 mile of residual congestion in the area.’

‘The southbound carriageway is now OPEN. There is approximately 1 mile of congestion in the area.’

‘Road blocked and queueing traffic due to serious crash, four vehicles involved on A46 Northbound from Lodge Lane to A617 (Cattlemarket Roundabout ).
‘Affecting traffic between Elston and Newark.
National Highways said at 8 am 9 December:
‘The A46 in Nottinghamshire is blocked northbound between the A6097 East Bridgford and the B6166 Newark due to a serious collision.
‘Emergency Services and Nottinghamshire Police are on scene and and Air Ambulance is en-route.’
