The Leonard School of Dance, founded 43 years ago by Helen Taylor, is proud to announce that one of its long-standing students, Flora Hawker-French, has successfully auditioned for a coveted place at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London, where she will be studying for a BA (Hons) in Contemporary Dance.
Flora began her dance journey with the Leonard School of Dance at the age of seven.
Over the years, she has demonstrated exceptional dedication and talent, achieving Distinction in all of her Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) graded and vocational ballet exams, including Advanced 1—a remarkable accomplishment given the rigorous standards of the RAD.
In addition to being offered a place at Trinity Laban, Flora also received offers from several other prestigious dance institutions. However, after careful consideration, she felt that Trinity Laban was the best fit to help her achieve her long-term goals in contemporary dance.
The Leonard School of Dance, under the leadership of Helen Taylor, has continuously produced high standards in both dancers and exam results over the years. The school’s most recent exam results showed a 100% pass rate, with students achieving High Merit and above—a testament to the dedication of both the students and teachers.
