INCIDENT CLEARED ALL LANES OPEN – 3:41 pm
National Highways said at 2:14 pm 1 October 2021:
‘The M1 northbound J28 (A38 Derby Matlock) to J29 (A617 Chesterfield) two lanes have been closed due to a collision. Traffic Officers &
‘Derbyshire Police and Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service are attending.’
‘Please be aware that this #M1 northbound incident is causing delays of 50 mins above normal journey time for this time of day.
‘There is approx. 8.7 miles of congestion on approach.
‘Please allow plenty of extra time for your journey if you are travelling in the area.’
AA Roadwatch reports:
‘Two lanes closed, long delays and queueing traffic for eight miles due to accident, a van and three cars involved on M1 Northbound between (Tibshelf Services) and J29 A617 (Chesterfield / Mansfield). Congestion to J27 (Hucknall / Underwood).
