The M1 in Leicestershire is closed southbound between J25 (Risley, near Nottingham) and J24 (Castle Donington, East Midlands Airport).
A collision involving a car and motorcycle has caused the closure.
Leicestershire Police, Ambulance Services and National Highways teams are on scene.
Motorists are being diverted via the hollow square symbol:
- Exit at J25 and take the 4th exit.
- Travel west on the A52 via Risley
- At Spondon join the A5111 Raynesway travelling south
- Merge onto the A6
- Join the A50 and travel eastbound
- Re-join the M1 at J24
