Several roads across Nottingham will be affected by closures, temporary traffic lights, lane restrictions and parking suspensions next week, with works taking place for utilities, highways maintenance, telecoms repairs, tram repairs and traffic signal improvements.
Motorists are being advised to check routes before travelling and allow extra time, particularly where works affect major routes including Derby Road, Nuthall Road, University Boulevard, Hucknall Road, Gregory Boulevard and Western Boulevard.
A number of longer-running schemes remain in place. Parking restrictions continue on Woodside Road between Derby Road and University Boulevard for National Highways works until Sunday 31 May. Lindfield Road remains closed between Alwyn Road and Shipley Road for Severn Trent works until Friday 21 August, while lane closures continue on Nuthall Road between Western Boulevard and Melbourne Road for footway works until Friday 17 July.
Derby Road is also affected by resurfacing works, with a lane closure in place until Saturday 6 June. In Clifton, Cadent Gas works are affecting Green Lane between Farnborough Road and Clifton Lane, with temporary lights in place during overlapping phases of work. Multi-way lights also remain in place on Trowell Road, opposite number 243 and near Park Crescent, for Severn Trent works until Friday 22 May.

On Monday 18 May, there will be a westbound lane closure on University Boulevard for traffic signal maintenance, a lane closure on Hucknall Road for tree maintenance, and multi-way lights at the Manvers Way junction with City Link to replace a damaged traffic signal pole.
Tree maintenance works will also require two-way lights on Nottingham Road from Monday 18 May to Wednesday 20 May. Goose Gate will be closed from Thursday 21 May to Saturday 23 May for Severn Trent works. Earlier disruption also includes emergency Cadent Gas works on Gregory Boulevard at Goose Fair Island, where a lane closure is in place until Thursday 21 May.
More works are scheduled for the following week. Arleston Drive will be subject to a road closure and parking suspensions from Monday 25 May to Thursday 28 May for highways works. Hungerton Street and Sherwin Road will also be affected by road closures and parking suspensions from Monday 25 May to Friday 29 May for manhole inspections and cleaning.
