A man has appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court charged with violent crime and drug offences.
Klayton Smith, 27, of no fixed address, is charged with assault by beating, common assault, actual bodily harm, threatening behaviour, criminal damage and possession of a class B drug in connection with a series of incidents.
The threatening behaviour, common assault, assault by beating and actual bodily harm charges relate to an incident that happened in a pub in Southchurch Drive, Clifton on Sunday 2 August 2020.
The criminal damage charge relates to an incident where a house was damaged on the same evening in Woodbridge Avenue, Clifton.
The possession of drugs charge is in connection with the recovery of cannabis on 18 September 2020.
Smith appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
Detective Inspector Danny Johnstone, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Violent crime has no place on our streets and we will investigate all reports made to Nottinghamshire Police.
