A man has been charged with common assault and causing actual bodily harm.
Paul Green, 53, of no fixed abode, has been remanded in custody and will appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court today (26 August).
Officers from Nottinghamshire Police were called just before 7pm on Monday 24 August to a report that a man had entered a house in Farnborough Road in Clifton and assaulted a woman.
The woman required hospital treatment but her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-altering.
Detective Sergeant Stuart Barson said: “I would like to commend the victim for her bravery in coming forward after what must have been an incredibly distressing experience. She is now being supported by specially trained officers.
“Violence of any kind is completely unacceptable and we will do everything we can to protect victims and put those responsible before the courts.”
