Man charged with attempted murder after stabbing outside a Nottinghamshire pub

A man has been charged with attempted murder after a man was stabbed outside a pub in Kirkby-in-Ashfield.

The incident was reported to police just before 1am on Sunday 22 October.

A 27-year-old man was stabbed outside The Nags Head pub in Station Street and taken to Queen’s Medical Centre.

His condition is critical but stable.

A 40-year-old man from Kirkby-in-Ashfield, has been charged with attempted murder, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and assault by beating.

He appeared at Nottingham Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday 24 October and has been remanded into custody.

His next court date is November 21.
