A man has appeared in court charged with threatening to kill a woman.
Police were called to a house in Causeway Mews, The Meadows, at around 2.45pm on Sunday 18 July.
The woman told police she locked herself inside the property after a man arrived in her garden and threatened to murder her.
A 29-year-old man from The Meadows, was later charged with making a threat to kill.
He appeared at Nottinghamshire Magistrates’ Court on 20 July and was remanded in custody.
The case has been listed for trial at Nottingham Crown Court on 17 August.
Detective Sergeant Paul Clark, of Nottinghamshire Police’s public protection team, said: “We take incidents of disorder such as this very seriously. The threatening of violence is totally unacceptable and we will always look to take robust action against those who commit such offences.
“We are satisfied this was an isolated incident and that there was no wider threat to the community.”
