Officers investigating a series of public indecency incidents at community shops have placed a suspect before the courts.
Police received reports from shop staff about a man exposing himself inside stores in Woodborough Road, Mapperley Top, Nottingham, between August and October last year.
Neighbourhood officers worked closely with shop staff, other partners and specialist detectives to identify and arrest a suspect.
Anthony Morrison, aged 57, of The Wells Road, Nottingham, has been charged with outraging public decency, two counts of breaching a sexual harm prevention order and threatening behaviour.
He is expected to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on 26 March 2026 and is on bail with strict conditions.
Inspector Steven King, local area commander for Gedling, said:
“I am pleased we have charged a suspect as this must have been an upsetting incident for the victims. Neighbourhood officers are continuing to support them.
“We’re grateful for their support and detailed descriptions which have allowed us to place a suspect before the courts.
“Nottinghamshire Police treats all offences of this nature extremely seriously as we understand the impact they can have.”
