A suspect has been arrested after a man was seriously wounded in an assault.
Police were called to an address in Cloister Street, Lenton, at 11.09am following reports a man had been stabbed.
The victim sustained serious injuries and has been taken to hospital for treatment.
A 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the assault and is also being treated in hospital.
Officers have cordoned off the scene and will remain in the area for some time as investigations continue.
Detective Inspector Jon Kerry, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We are still at the very early stages of our investigation but it is clear a man has suffered very significant injuries in this incident. We are working to understand what happened and would urgently like to speak to any witnesses.”
